Job Summary
As a Key Account Manager, you will be fully accountable for delivering optimized solutions to our key account partners across the UK. We are seeking a proven sales leader who is motivated by the opportunity to work for a global leader in the cannabis industry and demonstrates the agility to thrive in a rapidly evolving market.
You will join a highly engaged, high-performing, and collaborative sales team that values integrity, responsibility, and teamwork. This role will serve as a strategic resource for Tilray executives, brands, decision-makers, regulators, and agency partners, ensuring strong relationships and effective execution of key initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Own and manage customer relationships with provincial boards and key accounts to actively promote and grow the Tilray portfolio.
- Create customized sales solutions and ensure field-level execution of all Key Account programs.
- Track and measure key account performance by banner; present sales results and trends to internal and external stakeholders while identifying execution opportunities.
- Use market insights, customer and consumer feedback, and competitive analysis to anticipate product preferences and support innovation pipeline development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to ensure best-in-class execution.
- Manage and submit regional product listings to provincial boards and category managers.
- Work with internal stakeholders on product information, forecasting, costing, and pricing.
- Develop brand strategies in collaboration with strategy, communications, and marketing leadership.
- Translate brand positioning and go-to-market strategies into actionable plans to grow market share, brand awareness, and accelerate company growth.
- Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, competitors, and partners to identify challenges and opportunities.
- Contribute EMEA regional insights to global strategy development.
- Define UK objectives and ensure financial modeling and budgeting align with business ambitions.
- Manage assigned operational issues and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Build and maintain KPI scorecards to track and drive operational performance.
- Prepare agendas for key business meetings and ensure cross-functional follow-up on agreed actions.
- Anticipate potential roadblocks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Gain deep understanding of core business functions, processes, and workflows.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of sales leadership within packaged goods, beverage alcohol, pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Experience in Key Account Management at a head office level
- Post-secondary degree in either Business Administration, Commerce, or other related fields
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint
- Entrepreneurial in spirit while also leveraging the assets that come from being a part of a global company.
- Additional experience in marketing or trade marketing would be considered an asset to Superior communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation.
- Strong time management and organization skills with significant attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability of leveraging customer, consumer, and category data to develop fact based selling stories
- The willingness to balance both office hours and in-market customer visits
- Must have a valid driver's license
