  • Our Winnipeg, Manitoba site is a highly automated facility dedicated to edibles & beverage manufacturing.
  • Our Aylmer, Ontario facility specializes in the production of infused pre-rolls and features automated vape filling capabilities.

Packaging Associates operate the?filling, capping, packaging ,and labelling equipment to ensure?production orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.?They will adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), be detail orientated, well organized, and have excellent communication skills. Packaging Associates work closely with and follow direction from the Packaging Supervisor and/or Packaging Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate filling, capping, packaging, and labelling equipment

  • Thoroughly clean packaging equipment, lines and room as required

  • Ensure equipment is clean and calibrated before use

  • Perform line clearances and reconciliations

  • Prepare product filling and packaging equipment prior to batch transition.

  • Lift and move material of weights up to 50 lbs

  • Comprehend and follow both written and verbal directions required to complete each task

  • Perform necessary in-process checks to ensure integrity of product is maintained

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as required

  • Follow strict quality control checks and ensure batch records are recorded clearly and accurately

  • Ensure documentation is completed with GPP (Good Production Procedures)

  • Follow guidelines for storing of supplies, equipment and disposal of waste

  • Strict compliance with all regulations under the Cannabis Act

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in problem solving and following detailed procedures

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging team environment

  • Ability to work according to tight schedules and meet deadlines/timelines

  • Ability to work independently or with a team

  • Attention to detail, and ability to use common sense

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must remain in compliance with provincial and federal regulations, and internal Motif policies

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in production or manufacturing environments in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities is preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position seated or standing for prolonged periods of time

  • Kneeling and bending while lifting weight of up to 25lbs

  • Repetitive motions of hands, wrists, and finger for prolonged periods of time

  • Frequent reaching above, at, and below shoulder height

  • Operating machinery and power tools

  • Light lifting and moving objects up to 25lbs (75%– 100%)

  • Medium lifting and moving objects 25- 50lbs (25% – 50%)

  • Heavy lifting and moving objects 50lbs or more (1%-25%)

Environmental Conditions:

  • High temperatures(25% - 50%)

  • Noisy Environment (75% - 50%)

  • Small/Enclosed spaces (1%-25%)

  • Hazardous Chemical (25%-50%)

Schedule:

  • Continental/Rotating Shifts,?Sunday through to Saturday (7-day operation)

  • Hours: 7:30am – 8:00pm (12.5 hours)

  • Breaks: 1.5 hours of break time to be broken up based on team needs and discussed with Supervisor/Manager

  • Must work various shifts schedules as required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must posses a clear background check/police check
