Trojan Technologies is seeking a skilled Ultra-pure Water Engineer to join our Innovation and Technology department located in London, Ontario. Drawing from your experience with the complete treatment process for ultra-pure water, you will help develop optimized treatment trains and control algorithms to deliver the best quality water for demanding customers in the semiconductor industry.
This role will initially be on-site in Oakville Ontario and will later transition to a permanent facility in London, ON. You may also be required to travel periodically, no more than 20% of the time.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Operate a complete ultrapure water treatment train and conduct experiments to determine the impact of various contaminants and process parameters on final water quality.
Troubleshoot and maintain the treatment train, including instruments such as TOC analyzers, pH meters, H2O2 analyzers, and treatment equipment such as pumps, valves, R.O., IX, and UV systems.
?Understand a variety of treatment technologies, including solids separation, low- and high-pressure membrane treatment (ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis), ion exchange resins, electrodeionization, UV treatment, and gas-transfer membranes.?
Create robust experimental designs, collect data, conduct statistical data analysis, and prepare reports.
Operate with minimal supervision within defined limits of responsibility, while adhering to all safety standards.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Technology, or similar technical discipline, or experience.
5 years of experience in water treatment.?
Strong water treatment process knowledge and experience all aspects of the UPW treatment processes: Membrane filtration including reverse osmosis, UV, ion exchange, EDI, gas transfer membranes.
Strong analytical and hands-on skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Travel may be required to visit customer sites (20%)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Working with ultrapure water systems in the microelectronics industry.
Professional Engineer’s license, or ability to obtain one.
