Job Description
The successful candidate will, in their first year, gain an understanding of Hardie processes and customers’ needs to deliver high quality services to address our customers’ needs in both Industrial and Construction environments the Apprentice Electrician will:
- Work in the Industrial and Construction sectors providing high quality electrical services to our customers
- Strive to develop skills required in the 309A trade and keep the Apprenticeship Training book up-to-date
- Develop an understanding of the customer’s expectations in terms of level of service and try to get an understanding of the customer’s corporate culture
- Try to identify new and innovative ways to improve job cost and quality
- Abide by all company policies and procedures
- Abide by all customer policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of the company’s administrative procedures in an accurate and timely fashion
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of the company’s health and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in electrical techniques or a related field would be considered an asset,
- Must be willing to register for an apprenticeship with Skilled Trades Ontario and maintain the apprenticeship in good standing,
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently, but as well, must be able to work effectively with others,
- Must have solid problem solving skills and a strong customer focus,
- Must own and maintain quality personal hand tools,
- Must possess a valid class G2 Driver’s License, or better, with a clean driving record and access to a reliable means of transportation,
- Be willing to work weekends, as required.
