Job Overview
We are seeking a strong PLC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing 24 volt or less industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
Duties
Ø Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
Ø Test electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
Ø Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records in accordance standards established by the company.
Ø Must be able to maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment. (mig and spot).
Ø Perform other duties as required from time to time by your Manager/Supervisor.
Skills
Ø Industrial electrician apprenticeship program an asset.
Ø College or industry degree in PLC programming, industrial electrical and robotics equipment.
Ø Trade certification an asset.
Ø 3-5 years work experience in the electrical and/or robotics programming field.
Ø Previous experience with Kuka and Motoman robotic equipment an asset.
Ø Previous experience in cold stamping or hot stamping presses an asset
Ø Previous experience with Beckhoff or Allen Bradley PLC/HMI’s an asset
