Systems Engineering Associate
Key Job Elements and Responsibilities:
Support development of technical requirements, verification approaches and verification methods at system and sub-system level, while keeping supervisor regularly informed on progress and issues encountered. Ensure all requirements documents are peer reviewed by technical lead or assigned mentor.
Develop system and sub-system architectures, ensuring consistency with developed requirements, in collaboration with the Vehicle Architect and Requirements Lead
Execute Systems Engineering (SE) processes and practices, in compliance with the Integrated Process System (IPS)
Provide SE support to Product IPT
Analyze performance requirements, Technical Performance Measures (TPM)’s, and allocation targets (size, weight & power)
Support the Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) in the preparation, review and approval of design maturity reviews (DMRs) and checkpoint reviews (SFR, PDR, CDR)
Support system and sub-system Model Reviews
Assure technical products for milestones and deliverables are met
Review requirements documents at sub-system level
Work with supervisor to identify and pursue opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications:
University degree or College Diploma in relevant engineering discipline
A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience
Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools including SysML, Enterprise Architect or Cameo
P. Eng. Or ability to obtain P. Eng designation
