Key Job Elements:
  • Member of Logistics Project Engineering (LPE) Team within the Logistics Systems and Validation (LS&V) department; responsible to lead the execution of GDLS-C supportability efforts for assigned MNG projects
  • Develop/Negotiate requirements for logistics products with the Program/Customer
  • Lead the investigation and analysis of the root causes of project issues and propose/implement corrective actions to bring issues to resolution
  • Review customer feedback and liaise with functional LE teams to respond
  • Lead, coordinate and assist with project execution for scope, cost and schedule using EVMS and existing departmental procedures and guidance documents
  • Identify and act upon business growth opportunities
  • Lead the preparation of Bid and Proposal documents
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue, task definition and flow down, scope and cost management, and status/reporting for all LS&V and Logistics Products Development (LPD) efforts
  • Liaise closely with Integrated Product Support (IPS) functional groups to update internal/external scope and schedules
  • Liaise with other GDLS divisions, and other departments to ensure logistics products are developed in accordance with prime contract(s)
  • Responsible for project risk and issue management, and primary POC to make timely decisions and resolve all LS&V and LPD issues related to execution of the project(s)
  • Represent LE at regular customer meetings
  • Prepare vendor sub-contracts to cover logistics effort and deliverables in accordance with the prime contract(s)
  • Receive/address incoming correspondence from internal/external customer for impacts to LE
  • Support the Configuration Management process, provide guidance regarding impacts to ILS products and life-cycle logistics support, including implementation of the change(s) into the ILS products
  • Integrate feedback/learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, customer service, other industries, and industry groups, to continuously improve competitive position
 Required Qualifications:
  • University Degree or College Diploma in a technical discipline; including a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a technical project management position
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • Superior communication, organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to provide effective leadership in meetings
  • Prior experience with the preparation of Bid & Proposal documents
  • Proficient analytical skills to solve technical problems
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to travel (10% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
  • Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined space.       
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong product knowledge of LAV vehicle configurations, and their related Logistics Products
  • Understanding of logistics engineering processes and products
  • Experience in dealing with customer performance and/or LE requirements
  • Systems integration experience
  • Familiarity with principles and implementation of Contractor Logistics Support, Performance Based Logistics, and Model Based Engineering activities
  • Experience in ILS Engineering or Technical Publications
  • Familiarity with the S1000D specification and MIL-STD-1388 2A/2B
