Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate input of data and month end requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software as well as written and verbal communication.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee various accounting operations
- Manage invoicing, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition and capitalization, inventory control, and revenue recognition
- Month end and year end close process, including regular reconciliation and tracking of flow-through accounts
- Manage financial transactions and reporting
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements
- Assist with the filing of various government reporting, including WSIB, EHT, and HST
- Manage accurate record keeping and filing system
- Assist with payroll inputs, working with ADP as our payroll service provider
Qualifications & Skills:
- Successfully completed or working toward completion of a post-secondary accounting program
- Working toward or aspirations of obtaining a CPA designation
- 3+ years of Accounting experience
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous ERP experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus
- Advanced knowledge of month-end, and year-end procedures
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
