Position Description:
- Possess advanced knowledge of the provisioning and parts content developer role:
- Document the physical breakdown of the vehicle, assembly and/or subsystem(s) in accordance with applicable military standards and approved customer maintenance concept
- Receive, organize, and document system specifications, engineering drawings, bill of materials, and vendor data
- Document and maintain the parts data in the Logistics Support Analysis Record database
- Develop/write recommended repair parts catalogues as part of overall development of technical manuals for automotive/vehicle/turret systems and sub-systems of the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)
- Plan and track progress of assigned activities
- In addition support, lead and/or perform the following functions:
- Provide recommendations to leadership for executing projects
- Creation and maintenance of physical breakdown of the vehicle and status documents
- Ensure alignment between parts breakdown and proposed maintenance concept
- Support oversight of performance against program and internal schedules
- Preparation and presentation at customer provisioning conferences
- Ensure data integrity of LSAR in order to prepare and deliver LSA reports to the customer
- Review of change requests and determining level of impact to provisioned parts
- Provide recommendations to leadership for training needs
- Develop and maintain new hire training material
- Assist supervisor with task delegation and project direction
- Maintain the configuration and revision of the data in the database as well as all supporting documents
- Proactively communicate with other teams and departments
- Actively participate in cross-team LPD CIP initiatives, process reviews, process development, etc.
- Lead/support quality spill investigations and corrective action implementation for applicable programs/projects in collaboration with quality teams
Required Qualifications:- University Degree or College Diploma in a technical or related discipline
- Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience
- High levels of written and oral communications skills, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience with development of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) content
- Experience with standards and tools used in the production of logistics products, e.g. S1000D, Arbotext, IsoDraw, VisMockup, MIL-STD-1388, -40051, Â and SLICwave
- Experience dealing with customer logistics requirements and/or attending customer logistics conferences/meetings
- Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
- Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined space
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in multiple Logistics Engineering disciplines
- Proficient knowledge in the operation, maintenance and integration of AJAX and/or LAV components and systems
