POSITION SUMMARY
Ensure customer requirements are met through effective production schedules and optimum finished good inventory levels; Inventory control accuracy through system maintenance and cycle counts; Analysis of customer forecasts and foresee / communicate adjustments required for production and materials.
DUTIES
- Production Scheduling of weld cells as assigned.
- Production Scheduling of 2 presses in South plant
- Order steel to meet press schedule.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels for finished goods
- Co-ordinate cycle counts and physical counts, investigate discrepancies to find root cause, report results regularly.
- Prepare and publish month end inventory reports
- Pull down EDI requirements daily.
- Maintain accurate item masters in AS/400 and Futures 3
- Customer contact regarding requirements / issues
- Co-ordinate engineering / material changes
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all AZ owned materials at sub-supplier locations.
- Co-ordinate and schedule service requirements.
- Other duties, as required
EDUCATION
- Post secondary education in production / inventory control is a must
- CAPIC certified is a definite asset
- Highly skilled in working knowledge of MRP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
- Hands on experience developing and implementing production schedules
- Hands on experience establishing root cause for inventory errors and achieving accurate inventory
- Detail oriented, self motivated with excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, professional manner
- Team player with leadership skills
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Accurate item masters in AS/400 and Futures 3
- Optimum finished good inventory levels
- Prompt issue of effective production schedules
- Goal of 100% inventory accuracy within 6 months of start date, then ongoing
- Analyze customer requirements and communicate foreseeable impacts
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Automotive Manufacturing environment.
- Work with minimal supervision.

- Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA.
- Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
- Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure that your Department is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times.
- Responsible to adhere to all Environmental Program ISO 14001 elements and attend training for same. Act in accordance to all Environmental policies, procedures and regulations.
