About the Logistics Project Engineering Team The Logistics Project Engineering (LPE) team is where project execution, customer support, and technical coordination come together. The team supports logistics activities from bid through delivery, working closely with customers, program teams, Engineering, and Integrated Product Support to keep projects aligned, on schedule, and moving forward. From supporting proposals and coordinating deliverables to resolving issues and integrating engineering changes into sustainment products, LPE team members play an important role in delivering practical support solutions that matter. Key Job Elements

  • Support GDLS-C supportability activities as part of the Logistics Project Engineering team.
  • Work with subcontractors to ensure logistics products and design changes are developed in accordance with contractual requirements and delivered on schedule.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design and Test teams to maintain internal and external schedules and help resolve day-to-day project issues.
  • Support the coordination and implementation of GDLS-C configuration change requests and subcontractor engineering change proposals.
  • Support the development and delivery of Logistics Support Analysis and Technical Publications products to the customer.
  • Support assigned project scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables using EVMS and departmental processes.
  • Investigate project and test issues, assess impacts, and support corrective actions to resolution.
  • Participate in customer and subcontractor meetings, including process reviews, logistics demonstrations, and verification activities.
  • Monitor project progress and keep internal and external stakeholders informed of status.
  • Assess incoming internal and external correspondence for logistics impacts and coordinate timely responses.
  • Ensure safety, security, trade compliance, and ITAR requirements are understood and followed across assigned work.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a technical, project, or logistics engineering role.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM/EVMS).
  • Knowledge of light armoured vehicles, military vehicle systems, or similar mobile equipment platforms and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical issues at the component, subsystem, or system level.
  • Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and able to work effectively with limited guidance.
  • Ability to travel within Canada (5%), the United States, and internationally (10%) as required, and to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and meet applicable site, safety, and access requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics engineering or technical publications.
  • Familiarity with the S1000D specification and related data structures.
  • Working knowledge of MIL-STD-1388-2A/2B and Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR).
  • Experience working with logistics deliverables in a regulated technical environment.

The Logistics Project Engineering Specialist opening is a current vacant position at General Dynamics Land Systems – Canada (GDLS-C). The base salary hiring range for this position is $73,600 to $92,000 per year. Our goal is to provide a fair and competitive offer based on an assessment of internal equity and your qualifications, including relevant experience, technical and non-technical skills, and education and certifications. Once in the role, successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress through the full salary range based on performance. This range reflects the base salary only and does not include additional components of our total compensation package, such as our incentive award program and other rewards like health and dental benefits, employee profit-sharing, retirement savings, and more.
