As the Indirect Subcontracts Procurement Staff Specialist, you'll play a critical role in managing complex supplier relationship, optimizing logistics, and ensuring compliance - helping us achieve excellence in performance, cost, and delivery. Key Job Elements
- Manage warehouse operations and freight logistics, ensuring compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency
- Manage warehouse and freight subcontracts, monitor subcontractor performance, maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with laws and policies, process scope changes, and negotiate quotes
- Build collaborative relationships with subcontractors and internal teams, resolve disputes, prepare reports for leadership, and align operations with business goals
- Develop and issue Request for Proposals, negotiate subcontracts, document cost savings, and ensure favorable terms
- Gather and analyze complex data required for forecasting and reporting
- Identify process improvements, drive operational efficiency, and stay updated on industry trends.
- Develop, update and maintain training manuals and departmental procedures to ensure best practices are followed
- Support internal and critical external audits of the department to ensure compliance is achieved and maintained
Required Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in business or supply chain related discipline
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence others
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Process and results oriented
- Ability to travel (10% Cdn, 10% US/Intl) and possess / able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Supply Chain Management Experience
- Financial aptitude
- Proficient in Oracle
- Functional planning and scheduling knowledge
