- Moncton, New Brunswick: Centre of excellence for indoor cannabis cultivation, R&D, and advanced automation.
- Lac-Supérieur, Quebec: Focused on premium flower and traditional hash production.
- Winnipeg, Manitoba: Highly automated facility dedicated to edibles and beverage manufacturing.
- Aylmer, Ontario: Specializes in infused pre-roll production and automated vape filling.
- London, Ontario: Strategic hub for packaging and distribution across all product lines.
Status: Maternity Coverage (1 Year)
The Project Manager is a member of a highly motivated team leading key strategic initiatives across the organization (sample projects include recreational product launches). The Project Manager leads cross functional project teams during the project lifecycle, from project initiation through to execution and transition to regular operations. The Project Manager ensures alignment of priorities and activities across project team members and keeps a pulse on the team to ensure project and initiative activities are progressing within and across functions. The Project Manager plays a key role in understanding each function’s priorities and needs, and in coordinating and aligning specific priorities and needs to the overall project scope level. In situations where challenges arise and jeopardize the integrity of interdepartmental initiatives, the Project Manager provides support to clear roadblocks, identify additional resources, or aid in problem-solving. Working in a fast-paced environment along with quick changes to plan, this role requires flexibility and adaptability, while both helping to create structure as well as executing on project management tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to document project scope and objectives, timelines, and expectations;
- Create and manage comprehensive project documents (including project plans, trial documentation, and other reports) to track portfolio performance throughout each project lifecycle, from project initiation, execution, to transition to regular operations;
- Ensure projects are delivered according to key objectives (on-time, budget, scope, quality);
- Measure project performance and report regularly on project statuses;
- Identify any roadblocks affecting the project team or project progress and work proactively to identify solutions; escalate risks, issues, resource constraints, etc. to senior leaders for direction on next steps;
- Maintain a positive, hard working and collaborative team atmosphere; motivate project teams;
- Assist in maintaining and building the Project Management Office through the use, development and adoption on new processes and tools;
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, related fields, or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 3 years experience leading teams or projects;
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking, and time management;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Demonstrated ability to identify and shift priorities quickly;
- Ability to work in a face paced environment
- Project Management certification considered an asset;
- Experience with agile methodologies considered an asset;
This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week onsite
