Job Description

Diamond Aircraft Industries Inc. (1560 Crumlin Rd., London, ON N5V 1S2) seeks Ferry Pilot / Fleet Sales Specialist (NOC 72600). The Fleet Sales Manager/Ferry Pilot will play a critical role in managing our aircraft fleet sales and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our aircraft to customers. This position requires a high level of aviation knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers. This is a unique role that merges two positions. That of an air pilot (NOC 72600), as well as that of a technical sales specialist (NOC 62100). This position will include the following duties:

Ferry Pilot:

  • Fly aircraft to various locations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to customers.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections.
  • Plan and navigate flight routes.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and other members of the delivery team to ensure that all aspects of the delivery process are being managed effectively.

Fleet Sales Specialist:

  • Assist Sales Director in the sales process for our aircraft fleet, including responding to customer inquiries, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are being met and that they are satisfied with our products and services.
  • Work closely with other members of the sales team to ensure that sales goals are being met and that the company is meeting its overall revenue targets.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity, including pipeline status, revenue forecasts, and customer feedback.
  • Manage the fulfillment of all fleet orders and supervise customer service to fleet accounts.
  • Lead fleet-specific marketing efforts and assist in developing sales and marketing strategic business plans.
  • Leverage customer insights to identify business opportunities and product strategies.
  • Continue to grow Diamond’s brand throughout flight schools across North America.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school is required and graduation from a certified flying or aviation school is required.
  • Certified pilot with a minimum of 1,000 flight hours, deep understanding of piston aircraft technology and A&P License is preferred.
  • Possess a valid commercial pilot’s licence. TCCA, FAA and EASA certified is preferred.
  • 2 years of aircraft sales, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience ferrying aircraft, including N Atlantic operations.
  • Experience flying in IMC.
  • Possess thorough understanding of the business and regulatory requirements that influence the operation of government and private flight training establishments.
  • Ability to maintain proactive approach in finding and maintaining fleet customers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, i.e., 50% or more.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Possess a solid capacity to influence and persuade peers, employees, customers, suppliers and other functions.
  • Analytical skills including synthesizing complex or diverse information, collecting and researching data, and using intuition and experience to complement data.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Superior interpersonal skills; delivers information clearly and factually. Capable of adjusting to situation or audience.

Permanent, Full-time (35 hrs/wk) @ $87,505.60/yr. Benefits include dental insurance, medical insurance, disability insurance.
