The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Total Rewards Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will oversee the development, implementation, and administration of the company's compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures that our total rewards strategy aligns with our business objectives and supports the attraction, retention, and motivation of top talent.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive total rewards strategies, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.
- Conducting market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation and benefits offerings.
- Overseeing the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, pension plan and other ancillary benefits.
- Managing the annual compensation review process, including salary adjustments, bonuses, and incentive programs.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Providing guidance and support to HR business partners and managers on total rewards-related matters.
- Analyzing and reporting on total rewards metrics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (HR colleagues, Business Leaders).
- Managing local vendors to ensure the attainment of service levels required for operations.
- Striving for continuous optimization of compensation and benefits administration and employee experience improvement.
- Leading and mentoring a team of total rewards specialists.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) with a minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in a combination of compensation and benefits in a private, public, government, or military environment
OR
- College Diploma in Human Resources (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of eleven (11) years of experience in compensation and/or benefits in a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources and/or Business Administration from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of experience with employment law, compensation & benefits policies, including pension plan and practices in Canada or a combination thereof in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Previous experience with pension plans for both defined benefit and defined contribution
- Strong collaboration skills
- Proficiency using contemporary communication tools and computer skills
- Effective communication and client-focused mindset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Work location:
- Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
