Job Description

Business Development Associate

About Vessl

At Vessl, we’re reimagining prosthetics. Our flagship product, the Kinn socket system, uses smart adjustment technology to bring effortless comfort and control to people with limb difference. We sell to prosthetists but design with amputees in mind — our mission is to empower both. Backed by cutting-edge engineering, clinical insight, and a bold vision, we’re preparing for our first product launch in late 2025.

The Role

We’re looking for a scrappy, strategic, and proactive Business Development Associate to help us bring Kinn to clinics and patients across North America. You’ll work directly with the CEO and sales team to drive top-of-funnel activity, support clinic relationships, and execute marketing campaigns that make people say, “Whoa, that’s smart.”

This is a unique hybrid role — part marketing strategist, part sales-side operator. You’ll support our go-to-market execution, help shape our brand voice, and nurture relationships with prosthetists and clinics. This is the kind of role where you might be refining an email workflow in the morning, prepping a case study in the afternoon, and sending personalized follow-ups to prospects who saw us at a trade show.

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Build and execute marketing campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and web.
  • Write smart, high-converting content — social posts, ads, drip campaigns, landing pages.
  • Help us test messaging and track what’s working.
  • Manage the content calendar and coordinate execution across internal and external collaborators.
  • Light graphic design support (we use Canva for 90% of things).
  • Help maintain and improve our website — bonus points if you’ve used a backend CMS (Webflow).
  • We look forward to seeing examples and learning how you accomplished this.

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Follow up with warm leads from trade shows, inbound forms, and events.
  • Enter and track sales activity in HubSpot — must have prior HubSpot experience.
  • Draft sales emails, organize contact lists, and help reps stay on track.
  • Develop sales collateral like one-pagers, clinic-facing decks, and case study materials.
  • We look forward to hearing how you’ve done this in past roles — and what results it drove.

Analytics & Growth

  • Monitor KPIs, track campaign performance, and support our growth goals with data-informed ideas.
  • Suggest and experiment with outbound campaigns or clinic-specific engagement strategies.
  •

You’ll be a fit if…

  • You have 2–5 years of experience in marketing, sales ops, or business development — preferably in B2B, medtech, healthtech, or startup environments.
  • You’ve used HubSpot in a previous role and feel confident navigating contacts, companies, deals, and workflows.
  • You’re a strong writer who knows how to adapt tone for different audiences (technical, clinical, and patient-facing).
  • You’re highly organized and love turning chaos into structure.
  • You take initiative and know how to move a project from “idea” to “done.”
  • You’re collaborative and coachable, but also comfortable working independently.
  •

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing or updating a CMS like WordPress or Webflow.
  • Light design experience (Canva, Figma, or Adobe).
  • Experience in prosthetics, orthotics, or other clinical environments.
  • An eye for storytelling and turning data into a compelling pitch.
  •

Why Join Vessl

  • Shape the brand of a medtech company that’s actually improving lives
  • Own your role — we trust our people to lead
  • Flexible work environment
  • Competitive compensation and equity options
  • Opportunity to grow with the company as we scale
