POSITION REPORTS TO: PLANT MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
To be responsible for and provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Establish, deliver and coordinate program management plans for the successful launch of new programs.
- Manage multiple, concurrent projects ensuring quality, on-time and on-budget implementation
- Responsible to be part of quoting team, programming structure and process flow.
- Act as an interface between the internal team and the customer.
- Plan, manage and communicate the progress of the project, achieving project milestones and maintaining momentum of the project
- Define project tasks and resources requirements, assemble and coordinate project team.
- Empower and provide direction to team members to act on plans and maintain progress status.
- Monitor and report on program progress, including problems and solutions.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
- Report progress to Senior Management.
- Follow-up with the internal and external resources on the build progress of tooling and equipment.
- Write bid specifications, and request quotations as required.
- Coordinate sample and prototype builds through Engineering and arrange for prototype parts where required.
- Facilitate interaction between all functional resources.
- Get information, milestones, requirements, etc., from customers and present it to SGTAC team.
- Manage scope through effective change control processes, balancing project constraints (scope, time, cost, quality).
- Financial management of project and manage project resource allocation.
- Report to customer as to program status through the means of timelines.
- Perform other duties as required from time to time by your manager.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Business or Engineering
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Project Engineering or Management and/or Quality background in launching programs or related industry experience.
- Understanding of all aspects related to manufacturing of Automotive stamping, welding and automation.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability of successful project launch and delivery.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and maintaining timing deadlines.
EQUIPMENT AND/OR PRODUCT:
- Computers, printers, telephone, photocopier, and fax machines.
- Good understanding of all Microsoft applications
- Blueprint reading
- AutoCad
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office areas and manufacturing environment.
- Travel required in and out of the Country as defined by project requirements and as requested by management.
