Equals Brewing Company

Job Description

Company Description:

Equals Brewing Company was founded in 2018 and has quickly grown to be a well-respected partner in producing great beers, ciders, and ready-to-drink products for many of Ontario’s and Canada’s favorite breweries and brands. Equals launched Bangarang Hard Seltzer in 2020, which has grown to be one of the fastest-growing RTD brands in Ontario. In 2021, Equals launched Shake Lager, which won a gold medal in its first appearance in the Canadian Brewing Awards. In 2022, Equals purchased the Side Launch Brewery in Collingwood, adding more award winning brands to the portfolio.

We know the key to our success with Equals and our Side Launch and Bangarang brands is because of our people and teams! We are looking for a passionate, driven, keen individual to join our team and become a part of a vibrant and fun culture. As a small but growing business, we are looking for individuals who are ready to take initiative and deliver results for the team.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Student/Co-op to join our team. These may overlap and the time dedication will vary depending on business requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication & change management skills, and have a keen eye for detail. As this role requires a strong presence in a manufacturing environment, a safety-oriented approach to warehouse operations is essential to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Assist in executing barcode labelling on all existing inventory.
  • Document all processes related to the use of WMS, and assist with staff training.
  • Monitor, analyze and measure results related to the roll-out of the program, such as inventory counting time dedication and accuracy.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Assistance Support

  • Process incoming invoices in SAP, ensuring accuracy of coding, thorough response to supplier questions, and timely release of payments based on agreed upon terms.
  • Deposit and record incoming customer payments, using both bank software and SAP.
  • Complete physical and digital filing in a timely manner, ensuring fast retrieval of records in the event of an audit.
  • Complete various reporting and reconciliation exercises related to AP and AR, as required.
  • Support in process development and documentation for AP and AR automation efforts.
  • Other Finance-related tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage both physical and digital files effectively.
  • Knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Prior experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or financial analysis is an asset.
  • Forklift experience would be considered beneficial.

We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
