Canduct Industries is a leading manufacturer in electrical insulation, primarily used for cooling for oil cooled transformers. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a Sales Manager. The position is based in London, Ontario with travel required to customers as appropriate.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for launching new products, services, and associated brands to meet profitability goals through effective marketing programs. Externally, will establish key long-term relationships with business partners that enhance profitability and market position.
An ideal candidate is a sales professional with extensive experience in transformer manufacturing, traction motor or related fields. Experience in the areas of producing the main raw materials such as press paper, pressboard, laminated wood, aramid paper-based products as well as converting into manufactured components is critical to the role.

Job Duties
Build key customer relationships with new and existing clients.
Work with staff from various departments to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue.
Manage existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retain business.
Cold call within a defined market or geographic area to ensure continual opportunities for business growth.
Conduct research to identify potential clients.
Identify business opportunities, generate warm leads, and seek out partnerships.
CRM use and pipeline management.
Negotiate and close business deals.
Develop a rapport with new clients.
Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
Handle client objections by clarifying information, emphasizing benefits, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Predict clients’ future needs and devise strategies and action plans to meet those needs.
Attaining sales targets
Stay up to date on the company’s current product and service offerings.
Create appropriate strategies to ensure a competitive edge.
Conduct and assign market research and analysis.
Work with technical staff and colleagues to meet customer needs.
Attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on emerging trends.
Consult with and present to senior management on business trends in order to develop new services, products, and distribution channels.
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to increased sales.
Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales management system.
Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals and meet targets.
Submit weekly progress reports, ensuring accuracy of data.

Education & Skill Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience in a related industry
Postsecondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, economics, or a related field
Proven understanding of the industry and area of service
Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementation skills
Ability to create realistic schedules and meet deadlines under stress and interruptions
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, and facts
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
