Arvin Sango Canada Inc. is a Tier I supplier of exhaust and structural vehicle components.

Due to the incoming implementation of new lines and expansion of our workforce, we have a new position for a talented and motivated Production Manager.

This position is straight afternoons.

Summary

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager would be the singular point of contact during the afternoon shift. This position would be responsible for overseeing all elements of the plant. This includes providing leadership for Supervisors and Teamleads, planning and directing production, reviewing downtime, and ensuring that our we reach company targets.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews and analyzes production data and prepared production reports as necessary
  • Plans manpower adjustments/needs, include temporary members, relative to new projects or cost reduction activities
  • Responsible for the daily direction of the production process to ensure all customer quality and delivery requirements are satisfied
  • Established or adjusts standard work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Creates, communicates, and monitors key measures and production goals on a yearly, quarterly and monthly basis and develops corrective action plans when appropriate
  • Develops and monitors the annual budget requirements for the respective production departments
  • Evaluates and monitors the respective department purchases
  • Actively direct and monitor the continuous improvement activities of the work teams to reduce operating costs through improved quality, reduced scrap and productivity improvements
  • Assist staff in resolving work problems through continuous improvement
  • Supports supervisors in activity relative to employee relations, constructive action, and recruitment and selection
  • Provides support and guidance to supervisors, team leaders, and members to develop job skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications – Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Extensive leadership experience in a production environment.
  • Ability to manage priorities and tasks
  • Ability to analyze data and plan improvement activities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all departments and members in a team-oriented environment
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to interact and understand people
  • Good knowledge of the Toyota Production System
  • Good working knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes and materials
  • Possesses a working knowledge of budgets and financial statements

Education

  • College/University graduate from an Engineering or Quality program.
