The Sr. Specialist, Equipment Documentation & Homologation s responsible for overseeing the technical documentation, validation, and homologation of manufacturing equipment used in battery cell production. This role ensures that equipment meets internal standards and regulatory requirements through structured SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) processes.

This position is in-person and located in the charming town of St. Thomas ON.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive equipment documentation including manuals, SOPs, specifications, and validation protocols.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain and verify technical documentation.
  • Lead and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at supplier sites to verify equipment functionality and compliance before shipment.
  • Manage Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) during equipment installation at manufacturing facilities.
  • Document test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Drive homologation processes to ensure equipment is approved for use across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with global teams to standardize equipment specifications and testing protocols and maintain homologation records and certification databases.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).

- 7+ years of experience in equipment validation, documentation, or manufacturing technology—preferably in battery or automotive

- Strong understanding of SAT/FAT procedures and equipment commissioning.

- Experience with technical writing and document control systems. Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, CE, UL).

• Attractive Remuneration: The expected competitive compensation range for this position is $87,650- $131,470, which includes base pay and target amount of short term incentive plan.
