The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring equipment and facilities align with GMP standards to customer expectations. With a sense of urgency and dedication, the Millwright completes tasks while aiming to enhance the company's overall effectiveness and profitability. Continuously assessing equipment and facilities, they seek improvements in health, safety, quality, and organizational productivity.
More about your responsibilities: 
  • Act as the technical resource to address and resolve any maintenance-related inquiries and problems.
  • Support and help develop, implement and sustain a Jones maintenance program, including corrective and priority repair, preventative and predictive maintenance, ensuring that assets’ operations are stable, reliable, productive, well maintained and optimized.
  • Give top priority to production machinery repairs/maintenance.  When equipment breaks down, analyze the problem, requisition new parts and/or repair and replace them as soon as possible.
  • Lead and/or assist in the design of new projects, machines, replacements, etc., including supporting coordination of the selected outside contractors to perform any required work and oversee outside contractors to ensure the completion of work within specification, time and budget.
  • Support the development, implementation, and execution of service standards in the maintenance department to ensure that provided services effectively support the achievement of overall production and business-required results and goals.
  • Help ensure facilities, equipment and utilities are maintained, cleaned organized and improved.
  • Help arrange and be responsible for equipment serviced by outside contractors.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through ideas for improving effectiveness, quality, safety and equipment performance.
  • Support and maintain reports established as critical departmental matrices including a minimum maintenance downtime, inventory levels, safety records, work order efficiency and labour.
  • Perform other related maintenance and repair duties or follow any other instructions as may be directed by the leader.
  • Ensure that all requirements of the Health & Safety and Quality Management System are followed.

  • Certified Industrial Millwright.
  • Proven knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance activities including pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, lathes, presses, packaging systems, sanitation systems, milling, welding, plumbing, electrical, control circuitry, instrumentation, industrial automation, pneumatics, PLC’s, HVAC, and facilities.
  • 5-10 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Assests:
    • Printing packaging environment.
    • Electrician License.
    • Lean manufacturing.
