Relief Machine Operator - Full Time Production C Shift

We are looking to hire Full-Time Relief Machine Operator  to join our production team in our London, Ontario facility

This is a full time production role that provides Relief Machine Operator backup when needed.

• Equipment set up and troubleshooting adjustments, to keep products within standard and to keep all the lines running at or above required performance.
• Maintaining the required hygiene standards of the equipment and the facility, consistent with GMP standards and Master Sanitation Schedules.
• Removing waste from the production areas as needed.
• Safe use, storage, and maintenance of all company supplied cleaning equipment hand tools and materials.
• Supporting Setup Support, contract cleaning and maintenance services when necessary.
• Maintaining all BRC audit paperwork and other required documentation as may be required.
• Liaising with appropriate staff throughout the shift to ensure continuous process and quality standards.
• Supporting line staff on day-to-day basis for general troubleshooting/problem-solving/conflict resolution.
• Adhering to safety, quality and performance standards.
• Supporting training and continuous learning activities within the department.
• Responsible to practice the 5 steps of cleaning at all times
• Start and operate all equipment within the department assigned, however, Critical Equipment such as the VRT and Abrigo robotic cutters will be handled by the Maintenance department.
• Product change-overs on all equipment not classified as CRITICAL by operations.

• Work efficiently and be sure that changeovers are smooth with minimal downtime and all time accounted for.

Position Requirements:

• Chemical knowledge and comfortable working with exposure to cold temperatures
• Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment
• Mechanical aptitude is a requirement
• Accountable for the Master Sanitation Schedule
• Excellent attendance record and demonstrated reliability
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, climb stairs, navigate around equipment, and work with a sense of urgency
• Cooperative and works well with others, strong communicator
• Setup and changeover experience is an asset
• Previous experience as a machine or set up operator in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably food or pharmaceutical is an asset

Note: Candidates will be required to complete a skills evaluation for mechanical aptitude.

What we provide:

Wage Rate : When working as Machine operator

                      Probationary Rate (70 Shifts) $ 21.81

                      Full wage after 70 Shifts $24.24

                      When working in general production

                      Probationary rate (70 shifts) $18.06

                      Full wage after 70 shifts $20.07

This position offers extended health benefits, as well as company contribution pension plan

Machine operator shifts will be prioritized and backfilled with Production roles.

C shift - must be able to work various start times between 5:00PM and 10:00pm
