The Senior Municipal Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers in assigned territories for the purpose of positioning, marketing, promoting, and ultimately selling Trojan products contributing to the overall arena market and product strategies.  Act as product expert within the team, supporting and coaching others with more complex projects and applications.

This position is part of the Sales  Team located in London, ON and will be hybrid.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the point of contact with customers during all project phases (feasibility, design, bid) of the Order Acquisition process - prepares specifications, proposals and quotations for consulting engineers and municipalities.

  • Respond to all UV system procurement requests including detailed documentation review (RFQ, RFP, Specification), preparation of timely and precise responses, often in high pressure environment to meet hard deadlines. 

  • Supplement the RSM(s) and represent Trojan in presentations to engineering consulting firms, municipalities, and at tradeshows promoting UV processes generally and Trojan product lines specifically.

  • Serves as liaison between external customers and other functional areas within Trojan throughout the design and implementation phases – ensures that technical and /or administrative matters are, from a customer perspective, seamlessly handled – ensures that the RSM is kept apprised of any potentially adverse relationship issues.

  • Act as the product expert within the team, providing coaching and training to other associates

The essential requirements of the job include:  

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field of Engineering or technology

  • Min 6 yrs experience in a technical and/or customer facing role

  • Proven ability to develop and foster relationships with consulting engineers and customers

  • Experience reading, interpreting, and influencing technical specifications and drawings for water treatment applications

  • Extensive knowledge of Trojan’s products

  • Superior communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as productive member of team.
