 About the Opportunity

Our company is seeking Machinist to be a part of our Production and Delivery team. We are looking for individuals who are efficient and comfortable working in a team environment, have the ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules.

 

 Job Description:

 

Responsible for setup and operation of large CNC Horizontal Boring mills Machine product to specified requirements as defined on drawings. Must be able to read blueprints and various symbols regarding tolerances, surface finishes, etc. Pre-inspection of parts to ensure product compliance is achievable prior to metal removal process. Verify tooling requirements are met in advanced of the commencement of each job. Escalate any issues/concerns to supervisor and CNC Programmer. Machine product at optimal conditions to maintain cost effectiveness of machining process. Use overhead crane to setup and move parts Ability to read and understand programs to a degree that will allow you to modify / edit programs. Maintain machine tooling and setup on Zolar tool setter Verify dimensions of parts machined using precision measuring instruments as required. Practice excellent general housekeeping, including but not limited to, his/her work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches, storage areas to ensure a safe work environment. Perform daily machine checks per preventative maintenance program and safety procedures.

 

Benefits

Base hourly starting rate is $ 29.15 with a top rate of $ 47.01 after progression. In addition to your rate, all bargaining unit employees are also entitled to cost of living allowance and an additional $0.40 per hour for participation in the Company’s structured improvement program.

• Quarterly performance bonus.
• Shift premium is offered at 5% for afternoon and 10% for midnight shifts
