Part-Time Professors - School of Manufacturing, Science and Transportation

About the job

Note: These are part-time Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting January 7, 2026 and ending April 17, 2026.

The School of Manufacturing, Science and Transportation is looking for qualified part-time professors to teach courses in the following areas:

  • Controls
  • AC Theory
  • Process Engineering
  • Manufacturing Process Engineering
  • Robotics
  • Advanced PLC and HMI Programming
  • Systems Programming
     
Candidates are expected to be available up to six hours per week for in-person course delivery in London, Ontario. Please specify your area of expertise in your application package. The successful candidate(s) may only teach in the School of Manufacturing, Science and Transportation for the duration of this contract.

Qualifications

 
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Electromechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years in PLC programming and/or robotics programming
  • Proficient in using the following platforms - Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000), Siemens (TIA Portal, STEP 7), Omron (Sysmac, CX-ONE), Fanuc, Kuka and ABB
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to create and maintain an effective learning environment for students emphasizing respect for different opinions, engagement, critical thinking and problem solving
