Industrial Janitor

Canduct Industries is a leading manufacturer in electrical insulation, primarily used for cooling for oil cooled transformers. We are looking for an Industrial Janitor in London, ON.

Working Environment:

This position will be 100% on site at our facility in London, Ontario.

Shifts:

Day shift from 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping duties in plant, kitchen, bathrooms, and offices
• Emptying garbage and recycle bins in the production areas
• Mopping floor in high traffic areas
• Operate cleaning equipment i.e., Zamboni
• Assist with checking and stocking toiletry supplies
• Maintain outdoor cleanliness around dust collector, waste bins, loading dock and more
• Remove snow from sidewalks and sand in winter
• Moving of product / machinery – clearing the dock
• Light maintenance projects in the plant i.e., floor taping etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned which are directly related to the major responsibilities of the job

Qualified Candidates will have:

• 3+ years' experience of related experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a team setting and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Great attendance is a critical requirement.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player
• Basic Math skills – ability to measure and calculate.
• The ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, which may include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, repetitive motion, and other job specific requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
