About the Role

We are seeking a dependable team member to join our project management department in the role of scheduling and overseeing sub-projects. Reporting directly to the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager, the key responsibilities for this position include supporting project roll-outs by effectively summarizing and maintaining up-to-date schedules for all process steps. Proficiency in project management methodologies, collaborative team practices, and the implementation of organizational procedures is essential. The role requires strong interdisciplinary thinking, as it involves close collaboration with international, diverse teams across various specialist disciplines.

 

This is a flex hybrid model requiring 2 days in the St. Thomas office.

  
 
Key Responsibilities

•    Spearheading the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules and timelines to ensure timelines are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
•    Leading the tracking of project milestones to ensure on-time delivery, addressing deviations promptly through risk management and contingency planning.

•    Directing collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to update and refine schedules based on evolving project needs and challenges, ensuring consistent alignment across departments.
•    Leading the maintenance of accurate, up-to-date scheduling data and ensuring clear communication of progress to stakeholders, fostering accountability and transparency.
•    Driving the creation, refinement, and implementation of project management tools, templates, and procedures to optimize workflows and maintain alignment with best practices.
•    Leading and overseeing presentations, reports, and scheduling related documentation, ensuring alignment with the needs of the PMO Manager, senior management, and project teams.
•    Identifying and implementing solutions to address scheduling challenges, ensuring the project achieves its objectives efficiently.
•    Acting as the central contact for all scheduling-related matters, ensuring effective communication and information exchange between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. 
•    Managing supplementary tasks as needed to contribute to the overall success of the project and organization.

  
 
What you bring to the Team

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields and/or equivalent relevant work experience
•    7+ year’s professional experience in project management, with proven track record of successfully managing complex projects
•    Project Management certification is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of project management tools and software, including proficiency in Oracle Primavera, is essential.
•    Demonstrated ability to think strategically and pragmatically with a strong commitment to achieving project objectives.
•    Exceptional organizational and collaborative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a professional, goal-oriented framework.
•    Ability to work effectively in an intercultural environment with empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
•    Occasional travel within Ontario, as well as internationally (~10%)
•    Ability to maintain flexible work hours to account for time zone differences with Europe, when necessary
•    Overtime may be required to meet ramp-up deadlines
•    International mindset and strong interest in global work and diverse teams
•    Entrepreneurial drive to help establish a company from the ground up
•    Experience in automotive and/or e-mobility industry is considered an asset
•    German language skills is considered an asset
