Role Summary
This is a 16-month in person position.
The Launch CPMP Coordinator works regularly with division to assist in the engineering follow-up to ensure Program Launches are well documented (progress reports in ARIAS). The Engineering CPMP Coordinator is responsible for the initiating, tracking, recording/reporting/scheduling reviews of all launch activities for the division.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Equivalent to completion of related (i.e. Engineering) specialized courses normally taught in college or university consisting of more than 4 academic years.
Skill gained by experience - minimum three years in Engineering/Production within an automotive or related industry.
Practical experience in Program Management / CPMP (Cosma Program Management Process).
Good organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
Able to work well under variable workload and stress.
Able to appreciate and maintain a proper level of confidentiality.
Intermediate level of understanding of Computer application software including databases.
Able to create productive relationships with various levels of staff.
Capable of reading drawing/CAD data.
Key Responsibilities
Manage CPMP Software / Database Tracking
Send out Pending ENG Change status on a weekly basis.
Verify that PPAP packages are completed & submitted on time.
Create SMR packages for the team.
Monitor PPAP's due & past due on a monthly basis (maintain KPI).
Ensure timely and accurate product launches by communicating customer requirements and monitoring/coordinating implementation as the change flows through the plant (including allo proper documentation).
Work with Project Engineers and Schedulers to develop optimum implementation strategies.
Has a complete understanding of each change and its effect at the customer.
Keep abreast of current and future changes in plant procedures, processes, and material requirements and to ensure that Presstran is prepared for each new change.
Ensure that all appropriate documentation is present when required prior to change implementation (i.e., control card, production sheets, etc. at the machines/presses).
Liaison between Engineering/Business Development/Materials/Production/Quality functions.
