About the Opportunity
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As part of our team, qualified individuals will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to develop within this rapidly growing operation, and be a part of our company culture
- Perform all technical procedures ensuring compliance with security measures, standard operating procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and government regulations for all tasks
- Oversee loading and unloading of materials from trucks
- Inspect and verify incoming materials against packing slips or other documents, record shortages and identify damages
- Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate areas
- Count, weigh, sort, pack and unpack materials
- Maintain internal record-keeping systems
- Operate a fork lift to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks, and to transport and store materials
- Proper staging and routing techniques for daily inventories of bins, parts and raw materials
- Operation of FIFO system
- Maintain accurate records of the outgoing inventory and report all discrepancies as they are identified
- Understand the proper flow of all documentation and records associated with material handling
- Pick, pack and ship all outbound finished good as directed
- Inspect all outgoing finished goods for damages to verify accurate labelling
- Submit all shipment documentation upon completion
- Maintain clean work area, free from any hazards
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving role
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating a forklift
- Self motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Must have clear criminal record
