About the Opportunity

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As part of our team, qualified individuals will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to develop within this rapidly growing operation, and be a part of our company culture
• Perform all technical procedures ensuring compliance with security measures, standard operating procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and government regulations for all tasks
• Oversee loading and unloading of materials from trucks
• Inspect and verify incoming materials against packing slips or other documents, record shortages and identify damages
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate areas
• Count, weigh, sort, pack and unpack materials
• Maintain internal record-keeping systems
• Operate a fork lift to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks, and to transport and store materials
• Proper staging and routing techniques for daily inventories of bins, parts and raw materials
• Operation of FIFO system
• Maintain accurate records of the outgoing inventory and report all discrepancies as they are identified
• Understand the proper flow of all documentation and records associated with material handling
• Pick, pack and ship all outbound finished good as directed
• Inspect all outgoing finished goods for damages to verify accurate labelling
• Submit all shipment documentation upon completion
• Maintain clean work area, free from any hazards
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving role
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating a forklift
• Self motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Must have clear criminal record
