Job Description:

The LMSA is a key role as this person liaises with Business, Compliance and Learning strategically. The LMSA leads all enhancements to the platform taking into consideration business needs and the evolution of technologies that directly impact both learners and learning administrators. Being an expert in the End-to-End lifecycle of our Learning Ecosystem, the LMSA provides strategic direction and manages system improvements that drive optimized learning experiences across 3M.

The LMSA also manages data harvesting to provide valuable insights to upper management, enabling them to make informed decisions to benefit our organization and help 3Mers learn more effectively. The LMSA is part of a global network that together ensures the required organizations remain connected and that expectations in the Learning Ecosystem are achieved. Also, this role will impact enterprise-level projects by enabling project teams to accomplish critical deliverables related to Learning/Training Enterprise needs.

This is a remote role, with the potential for hybrid at the London ON office if desired.

As a LMS Administrator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leads all platform enhancements based on business and technical needs
• Oversees upcoming versioning to the technology own by SumTotal
• Assesses, defines, manages and executes all needed integrations and migrations to the platform based on business needs
• Leads all governance activities of the platform based on 3M’s and SumTotal’s standards
• Keeps 3M Learn Platform compliant to 3M branding and technology standards
• Be Liaison between Business Groups, Corporate organization, and other organizations
• Manages all required, regulatory, compliance, legal, and/or certification reporting
• Monitors and properly communicates all technology/platform updates: Trusted changes, Emergency Change Requests, Change Requests, Learning Admins Requests, domain structure request, etc.
• Understands and leads the approvals for all platform changes requests by any Learning Admin globally
• Manages the product roadmap of 3M Learn based on business and technology strategies
• Keeps the environment standard, optimized, and compliant based on all global requirements
• Manages the evolution strategy of the platform securing optimal usage for 3M’s needs based on variety of business and technical use cases
• Manage technology adoption and integration for the enterprise

Your Skills and Expertise

To set up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Programming Science, Enterprise Systems
• Three (3) years of experience on Learning Management Systems or similar platforms
• Three (3) years of experience on systems governance and platform administration processes
• Three (3) years of experience on project management, ideally with Agile expertise approach

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Infrastructure, etc.
• Technical certification on System Administration, Platform technologies, Modern Learning Ecosystem structures, among others
• Experience in project management methodologies, including waterfall and agile (Certifications in PMI or agile SCRUM are a plus)
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Strong influence (credibility), marshalling, consensus building, critical path solutioning (including decisiveness) and communication skills across countries, cultures, and at varying levels in the organization
