We are hiring an Innovation Product & Program Manager in our Mississauga or St. Thomas, ON locations!

 

The innovation product and program manager’s main mission is to improve Masco Canada’s innovation product portfolio, contribute to increase its market leadership both in term of service innovation and market share as well as lead all aspects of the process and project portfolio of all projects and related activities ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with various company stakes and metrics.

 

You will manage high priority innovation projects, secure commercial introduction of ground-breaking products/services in line with Masco Canada’s strategy and use Agile as well as Stage Gate project management. 

 

The innovation product and program manager demonstrates excellent product & project management skills, interacts professionally with variety of partners (Masco Canada’s senior management, key partners and major customers), and clearly defines, articulates and positions our go to market strategy for innovation.

 

You are passionate about technologies but are familiar with services in the commercial plumbing space, healthcare and safety, IoT, data analytics, and bring strong commercial & negotiation skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with multifunctional teams to deliver with quick time-to-market

  • Acquire product, process and market knowledge within the commercial plumbing industry to identify new opportunities

  •  Capture market/customers’ needs working closely with sales forces, meeting with customers & partners and consolidating these into 1-3-year program plan

  • Turn sophisticated product/service proposition into structured programs/projects and winning management support

  • Formalize ideas/service concepts into compelling, profitable and differentiated value propositions (scope, benefits/values for clients, USPs, competitive benchmark, targeted pricing, go-to-market strategy, etc.)

  • Co-create and co-design new services in close relation with major market players and MCL’s key customers, understanding technical, commercial and operational challenges, highlighting required technical evolutions and process transformation

  • Build and lead the project schedule, including dependencies and resource requirements from concept through project closure

  • Manage commercialization and product launch plans and coordinate all organizational areas including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, Supply Chain etc. through all phases of project to successful execution

  • Supervise and measure project schedule compliance, performance v. goal, and overall achievement of objectives at various stages of the project lifecycle

  • Manage the resolution and escalation of project issues

  • Facilitate decision-making and manage project communications to relevant partners

  • Set up project teams across departments, coordinate and animate a network of partners supplying to the product development (Engineering, IT, Support, Billing…) with focus on delivery at costs, quality & time

  • Guarantee hand-over to line organization

  • Understand, support and adhere to company’s health and safety policies, programs and procedures by presenting and promoting health and safety awareness

 

Who You Are:

  • 5-7 years as a Product Manager or equivalent manufacturing experience

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products

  • Technical background,  including Agile and Stage Gate Program Management

  • Possess highly developed interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization to influence others relative to company objectives as well as to clarify and maintain focus on team goals and objectives

  • Able to prioritize multiple, often challenging priorities and be able to delegate and follow up appropriately

  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems is also vital

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Smartsheet are required 

  • Excellent collaboration skills and have demonstrated cross-functional leadership in previous roles

  • Upbeat, self-motivated, and results oriented

  • A well-defined sense of tact, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people leadership skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent is required

  • Travel may be required

  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals

  • Overtime as the need arises

  • Lifting or moving up to 10 lbs may be required
