Working in our London, ON manufacturing facility, we are seeking a Production Planner to join our team.  This impactful role ensures that projects and products are ready to ship on time to meet customer deliveries through planning, prioritizing, optimizing and monitoring. 

 

Accountabilities

  • Receives demand and confirms if customer requested delivery date can be met

  • Creates and maintains production schedules, detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by

  • Enters and maintains production orders to ensure material and work sequence will meet scheduled tasks

  • Monitors inventory availability through generation of available to picks and shortage reports and actions accordingly to maintain schedule where possible

  • Monitors and reports out on overall project progress and any risks to escalate and drive actions to meet deadlines

  • Maintains standard product lead time charts and collaborates to ensure material systems can support

  • Maintains controlled documentation and work instructions associated with planning function

  • Maintains an OTD of 92% or greater

 

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in planning, purchasing and/or inventory management

  • Project Management capabilities and aptitude to prioritize tasks to meet firm deadlines

  • Understanding of ERP systems (we use BAAN) and Microsoft Office products; proficient computer skills

  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills, focusing on results
