Buckland is looking for a Business Analyst, Strategic Initiatives

What you’ll be doing

This position is responsible for advocating for change across the entire organization. They will work closely with leadership and end users alike across all Lines of Business to understand requirements and identify opportunities for improvement at the corporate level. The Business Analyst, EA will work side by side with the Enterprise Architecture and Software Development teams to implement ideas from start to finish including identifying and removing roadblocks.

The ultimate target of this role is to unravel and eliminate complex manual processes, replacing them with streamlined automated workflows.

You will be responsible for

  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to implement changes to business practices with process improvements and/or technology.
  • Work with the development team on the following behaviors: Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
  • Partner with the business understand and translate needs into formal requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, solution designs, specifications, process flows, business rules, testing steps, training material, and other standard documentation.
  • Responsible for the determination, coordination, ranking, and recommendation of potential projects to the Leadership team.
  • Lead and execute project planning activities such as managing project schedules, gaining acceptance of milestones, engaging with project participants, ensuring adherence to accepted timelines and updating stakeholders on progress
  • Provide operational support to end users following change management.
  • Proactively identify potential project roadblocks, define mitigating solutions, and develop contingency plans as needed; escalates where and when needed.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Apply your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate your meticulous attention to detail by ensuring accuracy and decision making.
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.

 

What we need from you

  • University Degree or Diploma in Business Systems/Information Technology/ Business Analysis/Project Management, or similar discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a business technology focused role.
  • Previous experience with Business Analysis and Project Management fundamentals and methodologies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office programs including Visio & Project.
  • Familiarity writing formal test plans and test cases.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment and be familiar with Agile events.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
