We are hiring Summer Students in our Warehouse and Assembly Departments!
This position is located in our facility in St. Thomas, ON.
The Summer Student is responsible for performing duties as required in our Warehouse and Assembly Departments. Safety in the workplace is essential to this role, while timely and accurate production of products will ensure high quality products for our customers.

- Picking Orders
- Scan orders to employee
- Open and complete orders on scan gun
- Walk through the Warehouse to complete orders which includes picking, scanning, and packing product for each order
- Apply labels on cartons and record pick ticket number on carton
- Deliver and load cartons onto the shipping conveyor
- Assemble cartons for packing
- Other duties as assigned
- Build sub-assembly and finished goods to requirements for production rates and quality as per work instructions, Work Orders, Bills of Material, and Catalogs
- Set up tooling and fixtures and operate assembly equipment
- Order from JDE and pick orders
- Fill out Quality Inspection tickets
- Fill out production sheets, tags, and Shoplogix
- Report quality and/or tooling issues
- Repair defective parts when needed
- Replenish parts on the work station
- Rotation through various work cells and shifts

Maintain a safe workplace

Wear Personal Protective Equipment on the shop floor

Follow the company policies, procedures, and OHSA (Occupational Health & Safety Act)

Participation is required in our internal responsibility system (right to know, right to refuse, right to participate)

Follow safe work and lockout / tagout procedures as the need arises

Report unsafe conditions or hazards as soon as possible to your supervisor

Maintain a clean working environment

Adhere to and maintain WHMIS 2015 (GHS & 1988) requirements

You must be a current student, and be returning to school in September 2022

Must be 18 years of age or older

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Bend and lift up to 40 pounds

Comfortable working around forklift traffic

Successful completion of all applicable pre-employment testing

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Reliable transportation to and from work as public transportation is not available
