Scheduling Supervisor
We Are Hiring a Scheduling Supervisor!
As the Scheduling Supervisor, you will lead the Planning Team through system knowledge, process understanding and creation. You will support the planning and scheduling of production operations in the respective manufacturing departments to effectively and efficiently achieve our goals of fill rate, inventory turns and days of supply. You will Provide meaningful and complete production schedules to the Production Team (measured by Schedule Attainment). Effective team management
What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain production schedules for production departments
- Timely release of updated schedules
- Maintenance of schedules and work orders
- Schedule integrity/feasibility analysis
- Adjusting production dates to accommodate deliveries of required components
- Coordinate sub-contract operations
- Release and coordinate flow of materials to outside plating/vendors
- Manage sub-contract providers
- Review outbound/inbound receipts for validity
- Root cause and create corrective actions as needed
- Management of the inventory management tool (9-Box) and the quarterly review and system updates
- Engineering Change notice and sub-contract input
- Prepare and coordinate such activities and reports as
- Manpower Capacity Planning
- Backorder Report
- Fill Rate Report and daily analysis
- Aged Lines Report and analysis
- Weekly Operations Dashboard report and analysis
- Engineering Change Order input
- Communication with the Customer Service Team about stock out situations, delivery dates and reasons
- Component shortage identification and management
- Vacation and absenteeism management for the Planning Team
- Management of employee cross training and tracking
- Deploying management goals across the department
- Various projects as required
- Lead Continuous Improvement Projects as required in Supply Chain Team
- Act as a backup to the Sr Manager of Supply Chain as required
What you Bring:
- Superior communication skills
- High Analytical Skills
- Self-starter and requiring little supervision
- Leadership and consensus building skills
- 5 years experience in a Production Planning, Purchasing or Inventory Control position
- APICS Certification is an asset
- Demonstrated excellence in analysis and decision-making
- Experience with Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), JD Edwards
- Community College Diploma or University Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
