As the Director, Finance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and strategic alignment of all financial activities across our business units at Jones Healthcare Group. You will be a strategic business partner and financial leader, responsible for leading and coaching the finance team. Additionally, you will provide valuable insights and analysis to support the achievement of corporate and business unit goals. Your responsibilities will include overseeing budgeting, forecasting, accounting, audits and compliance, and financial reporting.

More about your responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with Business Unit leaders and the SVP, Finance on critical strategic initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Provide proactive, data-driven financial insights to bolster strategic decision-making and guide business unit/corporate strategy.
  • Leadership: Mentor and coach the Finance team to excel, driving a culture of continuous growth, learning, and professional development.
  • KPIs: Define and track key performance indicators to measure operational effectiveness, financial health, and progress toward strategic goals.
  • Financial Insights: Work closely with Finance and Operations leaders to unlock valuable insights into the connections between KPIs, revenues, cost drivers, and broader financial performance.
  • Financial Accuracy: Accountable for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of Jones Healthcare Group accounting records and addressing unusual or material variances.
  • Financial Results: Deliver robust financial results, plans, budgets, and forecasts for business units, ensuring alignment with corporate and business unit objectives.
  • Reporting: Oversee accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on departmental & Business Unit performance and expenses, proactively identifying areas of concern and potential improvements.
  • Cash Flow & Capital Management: Accountable for overseeing cash flow, banking, and working capital activities.
  • Audits & Compliance: Oversee the accurate and timely completion of audits and filing of corporate tax returns, maintaining strict adherence to legal and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Capital Investment: Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information included in capital investment requests, including return on investment calculations and validation of financial assumptions.
  • Asset Management: Manage and safeguard divisional/corporate assets.

What you’ll bring

  • You need to be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • You bring a minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership position and experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • You must have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You should be highly organized and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Your communication skills must be excellent (written and verbal).
  • You master the ability to turn financial data into actionable insights and strategies.
