Our 147,000 square foot production facility boasts a state-of-the-art air quality and ventilation system, ten skylights, and high efficiency LED lighting throughout the production floor.

 

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a highly organized Material Handler to join us at SLEEGERS. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of SLEEGERS by moving materials to support production needs. Your core responsibilities will include: 

  • Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or equipment
  • Using a forklift and other industrial equipment, as needed
  • Putting received materials in their proper storage location
  • Reading and interpreting engineering assembly drawings to identify and differentiate fabricated components and machined parts
  • Supplying production work cells with required parts and materials, as specified by the job file 
  • Inventory management
  • Working collaboratively with Engineering and Supply Chain to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies

 

The Ideal Candidate 

  • Has at least one year of material handling experience, preferably in a production environment
  • Steel and metallurgist, and heat code experience an asset
  • Experience in material test reports and traceability
  • Is computer literate
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Has excellent time management skills and can effectively prioritize and work under tight deadlines 
  • Understands the importance of our high degree of product quality and compliance to health and safety standards
