Under a collaboration with The Boston Beer Company subsidiary, Entourage is also the exclusive distributor of cannabis-infused beverages in Canada, expected to launch in 2022. Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Cost Accounting, the Senior Accountant will lead the inventory and revenue processes through a strong partnership with the operations team while demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and ensuring appropriate internal control practices.

Core Responsibilities

Inventory

• Assess inventory and production runs to ensure timely posting and measurement of production variances
• Support the initiative to improve Sage record keeping and process improvement
• Ensure timely booking of appropriate accruals
• Support the operations team in compiling the plan for COGS annually, drive the implementation of the plan, and lead timely reporting
• Support operational assessment of insourcing/outsourcing, capital requests, and other items as they arise.
• Prepare all analyses for external reporting including assessments for the MDA and FS note disclosures
• Oversee all internal controls related to inventory to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information

Revenue

• Monitor Shipping processes to ensure timely and accurate posting of revenue
• Assess revenue arrangements and contracts as they arise to determine appropriate accounting treatment
• Prepare and provide thorough revenue analyses including SKU, province, category levels to support timely demand forecasting
• Assess collectability of receivables and follow up with customers
• Prepare all analyses for MDA revenue commentary as well as FS disclosures related to revenue and AR
• Assess all new revenue contracts and prepare memos to support accounting recognition and disclosure requirements
• Oversee all internal controls over revenue to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information

Requirements

• Completion of CPA exams (pending experienced requirement is acceptable)

• Experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping would be an asset

• 2 years’ experience in a similar position

• Strong Working knowledge of IFRS

• High degree of mathematical aptitude, analytical ability and attention to detail.

• Comfortable with routine and repetitive work

• Ability to learn quickly

• Strong sense of urgency with an ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

• High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability

• Desire to succeed with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

• Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor

• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• High level of proficiency with application software including the Microsoft Office productivity suite
