This role helps ensure the efficient flow of materials and products throughout our operations. It plays an important part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting customer order fulfillment, and ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed.

When this role is performed exceptionally well, inventory is organized and accurate, shipments are processed on time, and warehouse operations run safely and efficiently. The position also contributes to continuous improvement efforts that enhance productivity and support overall business performance.

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for receiving and processing incoming raw materials and finished goods, maintaining organized inventory, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping products, and supporting a safe, clean, and efficient warehouse environment. You will also work closely with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the success of daily warehouse operations.

What You’ll Be Accountable For

  • Shipping, Receiving & Order Fulfillment: Load and unload incoming materials and finished goods, pick and fill customer orders, and prepare outgoing shipments accurately and on schedule.
  • Inventory Accuracy & Control: Maintain organized inventory, support inventory counts and audits, perform stock rotation (FIFO), and help ensure inventory records remain accurate.
  • Documentation & Systems: Prepare and process shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation, and complete transactions accurately in SAP.
  • Carrier Coordination & Logistics: Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and process deliveries using Purolator, UPS, and other shipping systems for Canadian and U.S. customers.
  • Quality Assurance & Returns Management: Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality and damage, identify discrepancies, and process product returns as required.
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance: Follow all Health & Safety, Quality Management, and warehouse operating procedures to support a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.
  • Warehouse Organization & Team Support: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, collaborate with team members, and contribute ideas that improve productivity and operational efficiency.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • At least 1 year of forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
    • Regularly lift, carry, and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Considered an Asset:
    • Experience with SAP, order management, and shipping systems (e.g., Purolator, UPS).
