Job Description

Hyundai L&C Canada Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our maintenance team in a unique role that combines the responsibilities of a Water Room Technician and Maintenance Support Personnel. This dynamic position involves ensuring the efficient operation of our state-of -the art facility in London, Ontario, with a focus on water treatment and general maintenance support.

Responsibilities-Maintenance Facilities Aide:

· Monitor and maintain PH levels, turbidity, water levels, and flow.

· Conduct routine testing, analysis, and documentation of water samples.

· Clean and organize the water treatment room.

· Regular maintenance of the filter press and changing of cloths as required.

· Manage inventory of water room chemicals, materials and report to supervisor.

· Make process adjustments based on analysis or direction from Process Technician

· Respond to all water treatment alarm conditions.

· Document all changes and/or adjustments made.

· Operate, monitor and maintain water treatment process equipment, valves, pumps, and chemical dosing equipment.

· Collaborate with polish line team leaders as required regarding water quality and other related quality issues.

· Assist on the polish line when required.

· Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.

· Safely operate hand and power tools, as well as industrial equipment (forklift, overhead crane, scissor lift, articulating manlift)

· Keep all exterior doors and employee walkways clear during inclement weather (winter)

· Develop skills in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and process issues.

· Read and comprehend equipment manuals and diagrams.

· Lubricate, adjust, and verify production equipment according to prescribed procedures.

· Maintain a clean and organised work area following 6S standards.

· Collaborate with the maintenance team, production team, and contractors.

· Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.

· Ensure key information exchange at shift handovers.

· Complete maintenance requisitions from other departments.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

· Must have a clean performance record of minimum 18 months for any attendance, absenteeism or corrective behaviour disciplines.

· Minimum 1-2 years of general labour experience in a manufacturing environment

· Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate various equipment.

· Strong problem-solving skills, basic math, critical thinking, and troubleshooting abilities.

· Experience with spreadsheet, databases, and basic computer literacy.

· Assist with cycle counts as required and/or scheduled.

· Assist with kitting of supplies, parts and equipment for all maintenance demand work.

· Assist with processing returns to stores and returned kits from demand work.

· Coordinate with inventory team as to status of returns (new, repairs, disposed)

· Assist maintenance technicians and other production and process team members with locating and procuring supplies, parts and equipment as required.

· Organise and maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop, maintenance warehouse, kitting area and quarantine areas.

· Keep inventory area clean, organized, efficient.

· Follow all company safety programs to provide the highest quality service for our customers.

· Candidates must be safety conscious, self-motivated and demonstrate strong communication skills (written and oral).

· Must be available when required to work weekends, holidays, call-ins and be flexible for shift coverage.

· Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.

· Ability to work in a team-based environment.

· Ability to follow instructions from Maintenance Technicians, Team Leaders, supervisors or senior maintenance team and execute scheduled daily tasks with minimal supervision.

· Experience using hand and electrical tools.

· Well-organized with ability to cope with multiple tasks.

· Availability for weekend, holidays, call-ins, and flexible shift coverage.

· Basic computer skills (excel, word)

· Knowledge of Hyundai L&C plant equipment and processes is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 per hour
