Reporting to the Sr Manager of Application Science, the Research Associate with process engineering skill, will analyse the technical capability of startup 
companies in the field of chemical destruction in drinking water, wastewater, and industrial effluents. The nature of the work will be varied and include literature review, data analysis, and visiting and assessing field pilots.

In this role, a typical day will look like: 

• Review public and confidential literature and data on PFAS treatment: chemistry, economics.

• Assess fit of technologies with conventional water treatment processes.

• Assess lab and pilot-scale treatment systems, including quality and scale-up potential. 

• Develop comparative analyses of various technologies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Post-secondary graduate degree in science or chemical engineering.

• Deep understanding of municipal water and wastewater treatment.

• Data management and analysis skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in any of the skills below:

• Process engineering experience.

• Engineering knowledge through education or experience.

• Knowledge of advanced oxidation processes

• Knowledge of PFAS treatment, measurement, and regulations.

• Knowledge of water chemistry
