Role Summary
The Area Leader is responsible for the co-ordination and assignment of all Divisional activities related to maintenance operations and ensuring that all timing schedules and regulations are adhered to. The Area Leader supports by acting as liaison in matters regarding policy application, employee relations, and continuous improvement for processes and productivity. This position directly supervises up to three employees.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Post secondary education and Certificate of Qualification in a skilled trade (Millwright, Electrician, Tool & Die) and 3 years of related work experience
3-5 years Leadership/ Supervisory role
Completion of Cosma International Post Graduate Program an asset
Experience in Material Flow Design in a Tier One automotive environment
ERP systems experience, specifically CMS in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to use Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) along with data analysis to drive business objectives and operational excellence
Experienced in Lean Implementation (standardized work (tugger/forklift), 5S, value stream mapping, A3 Method.
Must possess human relations skills and maturity of judgment
Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and drive team to reach targets
Must possess time management, leadership, strong communication, organizational and presentation skills
