Job Description
The Associate Controller will be responsible for the overall cost control of the individual departments. This includes the preparation of monthly annual forecasts, annual budget and 5-year budget planning.
This is a flex hybrid work structure, where employees can work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in ensuring budget adherence, financial efficiency, and strategic allocation of resources.
• Collaborate in conducting in-depth financial analyses to guide departmental strategy, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess financial performance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes for various departments, providing insights and recommendations to support financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Work closely with department heads and group departments together to prepare yearly and monthly planning
• Work closely and with department heads, fostering effective communication and collaboration to achieve financial and operational objectives.
• Identify and implement financial process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Develop and present detailed monthly reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, productivity, etc.
• Prepare monthly, Forecast, and Budget reports
• Prepare all ad-hoc reports as requested.
What you bring to the Team
• Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
• 2+ years’ hands-on experience with SAP
• 3+ years of experience in the field of Department Controlling
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, with a Minimum intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to adapt and communicate clearly and professionally in person over the phone and via email to a range of various levels of employees in the company
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational & time management skills
• Conflict Resolution and problem solving skills
• Positive attitude and able to work effectively within a team environment - with the ability to influence others.
• Ability to apply corporate policies to wide range of situations using logic and past experience
• Focus on process optimization and improvement
• Strong team player, ability to work both independently as well as with a diverse team
• Strong business acumen – understanding of large, complex organizations and ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
• Ability to respond quickly to changing environments
• Knowledge of Power BI
