Overview of the Role

Under the responsibility of the QA Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for batch tracking verification in addition to lab quality control testing on finished products including microbiological, chemical and sensory testing as well as on floor quality control programs.

Status: Temporary, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am (8-hour shift)

Wage Rate: starting at $29.25/hour

* Target Rate for the role is $32.50/hour.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Batch tracking verification for previous day production
  • Product testing for Control characteristics (microbiological, chemical)
  • Product testing for Quality characteristics (sensory)
  • Assist with audit preparations
  • Assist in on floor quality programs including environmental monitoring
  • Data entry and paperwork
  • New Product testing and shelf life studies
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA)
  • Work related experience in a Quality Control Environment an asset
  • Work related experience in a Food Processing Environment an asset
  • Must have Computer Skills including general knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Work related experience with Maestro/AS400 an asset
  • Proficient in Organization and Time Management with a strong Attention to Detail
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulations pertaining to the dairy industry an asset
  • Job Specific Training to be provided
