We are located in London, ON, Canada where we develop and manufacture light and crispy chickpea chips. We are looking for an experienced, committed production team member to join our crew to help us build the next generation of food brands. We’re rapidly scaling our growth - this is a place to come and make an impact, but it will also be challenging. Everyone on our small team is here to win. 

 

The production team is responsible for the day to day set-up and execution of the production line. You will work closely with the team leads and co-founders to ensure that the best quality and output of our chips is achieved. In this role you will be challenged to learn and master all areas of the production line and processing equipment. 

 

Duties

  • Production

    • Operate and maintain the production line

    • Set-up Equipment for daily production, conveyors, cutters, etc.

    • Properly prepare product in accordance with established product formulas.

    • Record lot numbers and amounts.

    • Build and fill corrugate cases with finished product, build finished product pallets to be sent out to customers

    • Complete all paperwork necessary for Food Safety principles and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. 

    • Ensure output meets the production schedule

    • Prevent machine downtime

  • Cleaning

    • Maintain clean and organized tools, working environment, and equipment to uphold with workplace safety and food safety in mind at all times

  • Miscellaneous duties

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for, waste reduction, product quality, food and employee safety

    • Report and discuss problems with supervisor, quality control personnel and other operators.

    • Receive, inventory, and store raw materials

    • Operate pallet jack

    • As needed, assist in other miscellaneous duties. 

  • Farmers Markets

    • Potential for extra shifts selling chips at Farmer’s Markets

 

Qualifications 

  • Previous work experience as a machine operator, in the food and beverage manufacturing industry ideally

  • Previous work experience in food or beverage production ideally

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask, stand for long periods of time

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Must be able to efficiently lift, carry, push & pull up to 50lbs consistently throughout the shift.

  • Ideally knowledge and/or experience with HACCP/BRC/SQF, food industry GMP’s, WHMIS, First Aid, Food Safety.
