Job Summary: Provide support to the Supply Chain Operations Department through cycle counting of product, ensuring inventory levels are sufficient, and ordering product

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Courses taken in inventory control is an asset
  • Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in similar role
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong Coordination and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and be an analytical thinker
  • Forklift certification
 

Essential Functions:

  • Cycle count WIP, Finished goods and components daily based on ABC analysis using the CMS cycle counting module, and corporate standard for cycle counting
  • Investigate and root cause variances
  • Monitor negative, low, critical inventory daily
  • Work with production and purchasing to ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Take leadership role in quarterly physical inventories
  • Provide direction to other employees to ensure accurate production reporting
  • Ensure that raw materials and product are dispersed or consumed based on FIFO
  • Maintain a clean work area during their shift
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping
  • Able to perform other duties as required within the department
  • Disposition excess and obsolete inventory
  • Develop and implements procedures to improve inventory accuracy
  • Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
 

Work Environment:

  • Office Environment and Plant Floor (PPE required)
 

Physical Demands:

  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management
  • Overtime as required
 

Health and Safety:

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
