Description

Responsible for the handling of materials within the shop including the organization of job kits, physical and electronic receipt of purchased materials and disbursement of inventory items requested.

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Physically receive materials delivered, using forklift if necessary
• Verify accuracy of delivery by comparing items arrived with packing slip provided
• Contact vendors to rectify delivery discrepancies
• Electronically receive items within ERP System
• Organize items received and place in build kits for future builds or deliver to leads for active builds
• Collect inventory sign out slips and run Job Pick List to identify inventory items required
• Physically remove inventory parts requested, add to correct job shelf and provide paperwork to inventory manager
• Handle build kits and large material for the project build leads
• Maintain/update Project Material Issued & Project Material Outstanding lists and post to job kits daily
• Assist project build leads with the organization of job shelves
• Perform other material handing activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking
• Ability to prioritize workload requests
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules and regulations
• Use best practices to follow all safe procedures in operation of various material support equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience working with material handling equipment (forklift), inventory management in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing environment and processes
• Forklift license an asset (Training available)
• Valid G drivers license required
