We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced industrial designer to join our product development team. You should be passionate about developing new ideas and have the ability to take a project from concept to completion. You are a designer at heart, always looking for ways to make things better, and understand the true value of a properly designed product. Direction will be given for many of the projects at the start, but there will be plenty of opportunities to explore new categories. You should be organized, ambitious, and willing to embrace new challenges. Problem solving skills are an absolute must for someone to excel in this position. If you feel you have the right mix of skills, experience, and positive attitude, we want to hear from you.

What you will do:
- Research emerging trends and chart a path to expand our product line.
- Create concept sketches and idea boards.
- Generate 3D models and visualizations using Solidworks and Keyshot.
- Develop prototypes and sampling.
- Participate in weekly design review meetings
- Assist in the review and testing of new products.
- Collaborate with sales & marketing for new product launches.
- Document processes and standards.
- Prepare working drawings for quoting and production planning.
- Develop and maintain the Mayne design portfolio.
What we are looking for:
- College diploma or university degree in industrial design.
- 5 or more years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced skills with Solidworks.
- Advanced skills with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Proficient with Office 365.
- Experience designing for the lawn & garden category.
- Model making skills.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing.
- At least 1 year experience designing rotational and injection molded products.
- Engineering background would be beneficial.
- A good eye for design and awareness of outdoor décor fashion trends.
- Team player mentality.
- A problem solver with a “can do” attitude.
- Passion for design.
