Dessert Holdings is a leading baked goods platform providing premium layer cakes, cheesecakes, brownies, bars, and other desserts to the retail in-store bakery ("ISB") and foodservice channels on a largely private label basis. We are currently looking for Full Time Production/Back up Warehouse role.

In this position you will be performing a full-time production role and performing warehouse duties on a "back-up" basis.

What will you do: Why make cake of course!

• Work on the production line in a variety of roles (Depositing, Decorating and Packaging) to produce our high quality cake products
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
• Work on various tasks with a focus on detail and quality
• Work in a fast-paced, team work environment
• Share in our passion for making amazing, delicious, high quality desserts

When working in warehouse

• Staging /set up of packaging materials in respective packaging departments
• Picking and storing of raw materials
• Preparation of next day's receiving tickets
• Receiving of raw materials
• Locating products in the warehouse; use of forklift required
• Order selection and loading of trailers
• Housekeeping of the receiving and shipping areas
• Inventory cycle counts
• Working with power equipment, hi-reach forklifts and walkies
• Adherence to procedures, safety practices and policy

What do we need?

• Previous experience in a food environment preferred
• Flexibility & commitment to work
• High energy team player with an attention to detail
• Good manual dexterity
• Safety first approach to work
• A GREAT attendance record and glowing references
• Reliable means of transportation to and from the campus
• Forklift certification
• Must have Stand up reach truck experience, preferably Crown or Raymond
• Comfortable working in cold temperatures (freezer and refrigeration)
• Scheduling flexibility
• Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment
• Proficient with computer applications and comfortable learning new systems
• Focused on detail, accuracy and a strong mathematical aptitude
• Cooperative and works well with others, strong communicator

Our pay! 

When working as production

• $18.06 per hour during probationary period (70 shifts)
• $20.07 per hour after probationary period

When working as a warehouse worker

• $21.81 per hour during probationary period (70 shifts)
• $23.70per hour after probationary period

• Shift premium for all hours worked between 7:00 pm – 5:00 am
• Eligible for quarterly bonuses upon completion of probation

Currently Hiring for  Tuesday to Saturday 2pm to 10:30pm

                                Tuesday to Saturday 6am to 2:30pm
